I just lost my dad on Nov 27, 2023 and we didn’t have this kind of father daughter relationship. I was his oldest child and only daughter. I’ve cried my eyes out watching this! This is so beautiful! Dads, realize you are that little girls first love and know as she grows, you are the man molding her into what she will become and how she will look at men. Believe that when I say it! If you mistreat her, call her names, push her away when she tries to hug you, it molds her every being into believing she’s only worth what she sees in you! But if you show her what a good man is, she will know she is worthy of a good man! Every daughter deserves to be seen thru God’s eyes and that is your job as her daddy! This song is absolutely beautiful and you can see that man is not embarrassed by that young woman he holds that is his daughter. You see nothing but deep love! And I applaud the mother for allowing such a beautiful relationship between them! Her words touched me as she told the story!

Also, know you're not alone with the struggle to find community in your new area. In the past 6 months I've gotten engaged, my fiance (now husband) was a youth minister at our church and God called him to step down from that position, he told the pastor, and we left the church where we were at for 5 years and where all our friends were still going to and our whole community, and we got married and started at a new church. We love our new church but it's a slow start to growing our community and making friends. Praying for you and Sam and just know the Lord is sovereign over friendships and He will provide friends for you.

I totally feel you on how discouraging it can feel about how long it can take to build community. My husband and I moved to a new city about a year ago, joined a new church and sometimes it still feels like we don’t have any friends. I think it’s important to remember that friendship is forged, not found. Building strong friendships takes effort, time and taking initiative. As for podcasts, More Than Roommates, Heaven In Your Home, She, Naked Marriage Podcast, Relateable, Renew You, and Happy and Healthy are some of my favorites.

I loveee That's The Point podcast!! And about community I sooo feel you on that, I've been waiting for a community for 🙂4 years🙂 and apart from a very few friends that I've had for a while, there's still no community in sight. Because of that I've been so critical on myself that something is wrong with me, but then God reminds me that I just have to be patient, I feel sooo discouraged and exhausted sometimes😮‍💨 but resting in God and His promises for me gives me peace💗

That’s the point is so so good!!! ❤ definitely give it a listen. So lighthearted and fun, but with believers!
